Following on my last post about some aged cookware how’s this for a find? A vintage cream maker. With a striking mottled green bakelite section sitting atop a moulded glass base and a shiny pump handle who wouldn’t fall for it’s mechanical charms. Not me that’s for sure. And it works, I made cream!

Modern day swedes may be less formidable than their Viking ancestors to an irish blogger but they can still teach us Celts a thing or two about how to have a good time. Certain celebrations come with their own drinking songs! Marvellous.

It took a bit of “Will I? Won’t I?” to-ing and fro-ing before I decided to splash out and buy this haul from my local charity shop but it turned out to be one of my better decisions. I truely did end up with more than I bargained for!
