Here’s some summer events that will add some sunshine regardless of what the weather does. The first is a Codorniu Barcelona Supperclub that’s taking place next week on Wednesday the 20th June. I’ve been to a few of their supperclubs which were great fun and, of course, the cava tasting is a fantastic part of the evening. I’ve been merrily drinking it ever since my first Codorniu event. There are some tickets still available so pop along here to snap some up if you haven’t already been. Good fun date event by the way.
Another series of exciting events are Signe Johansen’s ‘Eat Scandi Brunch and Supper Club‘ events. Sig is a fabulous cook and baker who loves to showcase her scandinavian heritage. I went recently to one of her supperclubs and had great food, in great company in a lovely North London home. I absolutely loved the food. Her new cookbook, Scandilicious Baking is out soon so be warned, this is one cook / author who’s fast becoming very popular and her food events sell quickly. Move fast to secure tickets, details here.
My recent post on Niamh Shield’s ‘Bacon Masterclass’ was popular, almost as much as the bacon fudge we made. Niamh, known to her fans from her blog ‘Eat Like A Girl‘ has begun to run cooking classes. As befits the ‘Queen of Bacon‘ her first series concentrates on wonderful bacon recipes and some of her favourites from her first cookbook ‘Comfort & Spice’. A fun, natural teacher she easily mixes laughter with learning. That’s a gift in itself and on the evening class I attended we all left with more self-made gifts of bacon goodies. Pop here for details of forthcoming classes and sign up quickly.
These are only a few of the summer food frolics you can have in London soon. I’ve been to all of these so I can happily recommend them. They’re open to all, you don’t have to be a happy snappy blogger or diehard foodie just someone who wants to learn and expand their world of taste. Get booking (no, there’s no commission in it for me other than good karma). Let’s make this Summer shine!
